BlockBuster movie downloads are available through the On-Demand tab of their website. In order to gain access to the movie downloads you will be required to have Internet Explorer 5 or newer and run Windows XP or Vista as your computers operating system.

Those requirements will enable you to watch movies on your PC. If you wish to watch your downloaded movie on your TV you'll need a TiVo, a Samsung Blu-ray player, hometheater system or newer model HD TV or a BlockBuster Media point player by 2wire.

Only Archos 5 through 7 series portable media players are compatible to receive movie downloads from BlockBuster.

When downloading from Blockbuster you have two choices - Rent or Buy.

Rentals are available for upto 30 days after rental however, once you begin play back you have 24 hrs to finish before your rental disappears. Rental prices start at $2.99. So to recap, Store your rental up to 30 days, View as many times as you wish within the 24hr window starting when you fist start play back, and low rental prices.

Purchases are stored in your downloads tab of your Blockbuster account. Your purchases will be stored for as long as you have an account and can be viewed as many times as you like (naturally). Prices range from 1.99 to 19.99 for new releases.

Mobil Devices - The only portable media players that will work for Blockbuster movie downloads is the Archos Series 5, Series 6, and Series 7 Internet media tablet. This severly limits your options and so you could say that it is only for a limited number of people.
